Well now, aren't we all having fun with this series? :)
So, ya'll know that I'm a stay-at-home mom. Well, we are on a very tight budget and there are a few things I do to try to help earn my keep around here. One of those things is clean houses with my mom. My mom is a bona fide "cleaning lady" and I am her apprentice. Or, teammate. However you want to look at it.
We have a few "clients" and we go to their houses, usually when they're not home, but sometimes that's not the case, and we clean their homes for a nominal fee. We enjoy each other's company and always go out to lunch together afterward. We clean the kitchens and bathrooms, wash and/or vacuum floors, dust, and do whatever else our clients want us to do- sometimes wash windows or throw in a load of laundry. I really do enjoy cleaning and it's nice to do it with someone because it helps pass the time a little more quickly and it doesn't tire me out as much as it would if I were alone.
Burkley "cleans" with us too. At the beginning of his little life, he cleaned with me while in the Moby wrap. Then, he moved up to the Snugli. Then the bouncy seat. Then the walker. Then a pushtoy. Now he just crawls and cruises around everywhere and entertains himself. One day he'll be able to just watch a video or read a book or something-- or heck, even pick up a rag and help us clean! :)

Burkley will never be old enough to just watch a video or read a book!! He's going to stay chubby and cute forever!! <3
ReplyDeleteOoooooh Sarah, I second that! And Adrienne is no longer an apprentice. She moved up the ladder to a "bonafide" teammate rather quickly. In fact, that's probably why she moved up so fast--because she's so efficient! Love having you as my partner in grime Adge!
