This is part of a series I am doing to help my readers learn more about me! If you're interested, check out Episode 1, Episode 2, and Episode 3!
Today's "thing" is not some top secret confession, just a fun little fact.
I figure I should introduce you to the rest of our family.
We have three pets.
We had four, but recently are down to three.
Our first pet, we got when we were still dating.
She is a beautiful, sweet-natured trans-pecos rat snake.
She has big, adorable eyes, which is what "hooked" us- we had to have her!
Her name is Aphieme, which is Greek for "forgiveness." We chose that name because a snake or serpent is often associated with bringing sin and evil into the world. Really, we are all sinful, but praise God, we are forgiven!
Then, as a wedding gift to Marcus, I got us a Bearded Dragon.
So sweet and so fun. Burkley really likes him too.
His name is Tanami, which is the name of a desert in Australia, a place that runs rampant with beardies, just like our yards are full of squirrels here in the midwest. Again, most of my good pictures of this fella are on my other computer, but this one's pretty cute :)
Last, but certainly not least, is our pup.
When we found out we were pregnant, we had a "Crap! We always wanted a dog first!" moment.
So, we went to the shelter and found this adorable puppy.
She's an Italian Greyhound (with a little something else mixed in there) and is a goofy, hilarious, spirited pup who brings us many laughs. She's a very good dog, and extremely social and friendly.
Her name is Kedzie, named after Kedzie Avenue in Chicago...a little reminder of where we used to live (not on Kedzie Ave and not actually *in* Chicago, but you get the idea).
Stay tuned for more episodes of Things You May Not Know About Me!

This is not actually her, but looks exactly like her. All of my pictures of her are on our other computer, and I have a sleeping baby on me right now. :) Photo credit: http://www.snakeestate.com/

It's hard to get pictures of her because she's constantly moving, but here's one to show you her size and shape. :)
Last summer, on my parents' deck.
She likes to sleep "in a circle." So sweet.
