Growing, Growing, Growing

Burkley is 8 months old today.
I can't believe how fast time has flown!
He has grown so much and is really able to do so many fun things.
The fun we have with him just keeps getting better and he's really learning a lot.
Just some of the fun things he can do now include:

Playing with friends! He loves interacting with other little ones...in this case, little girls! (He does have some boy friends, too.)

He doesn't want to show it, but he does have teeth! One in fully and another just poking through.

Smiling (A LOT)! He's a major ham!

Laughing! He cracks up at pretty much anything his daddy does and even some things I do! In this pic, Daddy was throwing a ball at him. Literally at him. He cracked up every time he got hit in the face with it. I promise he wasn't throwing it hard. :)

Eating! This kid loves to eat. He eats pretty much anything at this point. Here is eating a plum.

Go potty/poo in the toilet! Okay, this one is still new and he goes in his diaper more than he does in the toilet, but we are working on elimination communication which is a lot of fun (for me). So, to work on that, according to my research, we are trying to have diaper-free time when possible, which will help me better learn when to take him to the toilet. We don't have oodles of time just hanging around the house (that isn't spent napping) so this doesn't happen too often, but it is fun when it happens. I can tell he really feels much more free because when he is dipe-free he moves around a lot more- rolling, scooting, reaching, playing, everything. This pic also captures another development- sitting. He's been sitting since he was six months, but he was still pretty wobbly up until a couple weeks ago. Now he can sit and play for a long time. He still falls once in awhile, but he's pretty reliable to sit and play with me without me worrying he's going to fall backward.

and the newest development...kisses!! So fun. Sorry for the video quality--we were going to bed, so I used the camera on my computer to try to capture some kisses. So sweet. (sorry, part of that video gets a little loud!)

He also loves peek-a-boo or any hiding/reappearing games. He loves to be "charged" or ran at, yelled at, scared, etc.

Lastly, and I don't have a picture or video of this, but he waves "bye bye." Not to everyone and not every time, but he does do it! He mostly only does it to my mom, which is pretty funny!
