All Better!

I finally got around to remaking Burkley's amber teething necklace, which has busted twice three times and for which beads have been purchased twice. I put it on him during his evening nap yesterday and he wore it all night and through this morning. What a difference! His sleeping was almost back to normal- waking every 3-4 hours instead of every 1. Holy moly. What a much better night.

So...I guess we assume the issue was teeth! Poor guy. At least he's doing better now.
And by the way- maybe I've already shared this here- for those of you who have an amber teething necklace for your baby- I love this thing, and my husband does too- for ourselves! It takes away our migraines! When we get super bad headaches or even migraines, we put it on our wrist as a bracelet, and in about 30-45 minutes, the migraine is gone. Pretty darn cool. And it makes sense, as amber is an anti-inflammatory.

Anywho! Here's a pic just for fun. I can't do a post and not add a pic!

I REALLY need to fix that necklace of Mason's. You are just giving me more motivation, thanks! So glad things are going better for your little guy.

  2. Hi Adrienne,

I'm definitely getting a teething necklace for my daughter. We've been through everything trying to get her to sleep better and I do think her teeth bother her. I'm just wondering, though - how do you put yours on your son at night? I just want to make sure I have it on my daughter in a safe way. Thanks for any advice!

  3. Well, because he sleeps with us, I am careful with his necklace, making sure it's not choking him and I can tell if he moves and/or messes with it- which he never does because this kid sleeps like a brick. :) However, during naptime when I'm not with him, I often loop it twice around his ankle. Sometimes when he wakes up though, he starts to play with it, since he's at the age where he likes to play with/suck on his feet, so I have to get to him quickly when he wakes up! You could also secure it with a sock, though!
