Cadriel ~ 5 Months

 Cadriel,

I can't believe it has been five months since you came into this world so forcefully and intensely and awesomely! You are such an absolute joy and I'm so glad you're in our family. You are now just over twenty pounds and it's hard for us to remember how young you really are because you're so big and act older than your age in many ways.

Some things you've been up to lately include:

Trying out the Bumbo. You can sit for a few seconds on your own too.

Being adored by your brother (most of the time)

Scooting and moving ALL over the place. You think/wish you can crawl, but you're not quite there yet. No matter, you get to where you want to be without much frustration.

Trying out the Jumperoo, which so far you think is just for sucking on

You just started sticking out your tongue, which makes us call you Little Lizard!

You adore your brother and light up any time he comes into the room. You're always looking at him and are distracted by him when you're supposed to be nursing, giggling with him when you're supposed to be sleeping, and laughing wholeheartedly at him whenever he does ANYTHING to you.

You are in a phase of really looking like Burkley did too, but your personalities are so different.

You're so easygoing and happy pretty much all of the time. You sleep amazingly well! You nurse amazingly fast. You're such an "easy" baby and smile at everyone who looks at you. I can't believe that babyled weaning, teething, and crawling are all just around the corner for you. How are we already at this point?

We love you so much and are so proud of all that you already are. I'm eager to see how you'll be as you grow up and we're just so blessed to get to know and love you.
