Summer Fun

It's been about a month since I last blogged and that's because we've been having so much fun this summer I just haven't found the time.

Some things we've been up to include:

My sister and her husband have started to foster-to-adopt three adorable little boys. We had a party for them welcoming them to the family.

Lots of spray park and pool action!

We took a little trip to a podunk town and found out about a new band! The Way Down Wanderers are awesome, check 'em out!

My mother-in-law found some old GI Joe parts in her basement. I sold them on eBay for a hundred bucks!

I finally got the tattoo I've been thinking of for years...birdie in the tree with a flag that says "A" for Baby A, and then B and C in the trunk for my boys. Also, turns out it's really hard to take a picture of, so here's what ya get.
My sister and I put together a random yard sale. It was pitiful. We barely sold a thing.

We went to see the fireworks for the 4th of July. Lots of fun!

B enjoyed his first water slide at a friend's birthday party. He went down again and again!

We love our sweet dog. We were *this close* to getting another one through adoption, but someone else got to her first. I'm still so sad we didn't get our little girl a friend. Someday!

B ran his first race and I participated for the third time in the Quad Cities Bix7, a pretty big crazy wild race here! There are 20,000 runners!

found the time. The summer holds many more fun times to come! One of the best parts of not having a school schedule to follow (with little kids or homeschooled kids) is that our summer can go far beyond the normal summer time frame. We have two vacations and lots of fun things coming up in August and September!
