Ugh.
So far in this pregnancy, I actually feel.......well....pregnant!
With Burkley, I never really felt pregnant, other than for my HUGE appetite.
This time, I've felt pretty crappy from the beginning.
Well, not the whole time, I suppose.
Before I "found out" (but was suspecting) I had some bouts of nausea and cramping.
Then a few weeks went by and I felt fine.
Then around week 6 or so, things went downhill.
Now, one of my best friends is pregnant right along with me and is having a terrible time, so I have to keep my whining in perspective. She has been to the ER three times already in her first trimester due to dehydration from throwing up. :( I have not thrown up once.
I just have been SO exhausted. I sleep for hours every afternoon and then wake up feeling terrible. For awhile it was nausea and now in the past week or two it's been a weird burning feeling in my gut. Kind of like heartburn, but in my belly. It bubbles its way up to my chest, but never comes out as vomit, though maybe a burp or two. Nothing sounds good to eat, especially (conveniently, haha) whatever is on the menu that night for dinner. Cheese and/or most dairy things make me sick to think about (although somehow I am munching on chips and queso as I type this??) as does butter and baking bread (anything sweet, really).
I have also been really emotional (crabby and easily moved to tears!), but mostly irritable and impatient.
One of my bloggy-friends does these cute comparison pics of her pregnant belly, so I thought I'd copy. :) Granted, she's having twins, so her comparisons are much different! hee hee. :) But, I thought I'd show a pic to show ya'll that I am already showing, as they say happens sooner with subsequent children!
Overall, I'm really just ready to start feeling good again! We're excited about this babe and very intrigued by how different this pregnancy has been. I can't count the number of times Marcus has already noted, "You weren't like this last time!" :) I have a feeling everything is going to be different!
