I have my kid back!
He was hiding somewhere in the world of two naps and early bedtimes.
You may remember my post about wondering what happened to him.
We are down to one nap and life is grand again.
After lunch, he goes down for several hours.
He goes down pretty much instantly.
He goes to sleep at night in a matter of minutes.
Hallelujah!
If I had only known it'd be that easy!

At 14 months, Burkley is just as hilarious and fun as ever.
He is a wild crazy kid whom we just love.
He has always been a very mellow, chill little guy, but lately his bravery and confidence is growing and he is enjoying climbing on things and being much more physical. He also started to snuggle more and more which is cute because he's never much of a snuggler.
His vocabulary is expanding and I've been keeping a chart of all of his words. Some new additions are "nana" for banana, "hot," and "peeeeeese!" for please. He seems to have a pretty good vocabulary for a little guy, and it's a lot of fun to know that he understands much of what we say to him as well. His signs are coming along, though he is more likely to just say the word or grunt and point than use the signs like he used to.
EC is going well. He got a new pair of Skivvies for Christmas and now that we have three pair, we are using them more than we did before. He does well with going on the potty, but lately he's preferring to be hovered over it or over the tub rather than sitting right on it. This is only a problem when he doesn't go right away because he's getting heavy! :)
Nursing has decreased a lot- especially now that we're down to one nap. He is really only nursing before the nap and before bedtime. Occasionally he'll ask for it between breakfast and lunch or between dinner and bedtime, but other than that, it's really only twice a day. He is still nursing a few times during the night, but not for long at all. It's almost like he latches on only for a few seconds.
As far as food is concerned, he is getting a little more picky. Mainly, he's refusing bread! Any bread- pita, cornbread, sandwich bread, etc. It's okay to boycott bread, I suppose, as it's not full of nutrients he really needs, but it just seems odd to me. I mean really, who doesn't like bread!?
One of these days I'll do a post about all of the holiday fun we had, but for now, I'm going to lay down and take a nap with him. I'm still trying to catch up from the holiday madness that's behind us!

| He found this necklace in my closet. It was one I made in kindergarten. When he wears it, he walks around like is just a big hot shot. Too funny. |

| He
loves to climb on this chair and stand up on it. He also loves to carry
that Cheerios container around, shaking it like an instrument, and then
pausing to open it and eat some. |
| And sometimes they all fall out of the container and he goes around collecting them...if he can beat the dog to it! |
