Manic Mondays: Photo Shoot

This week's manic Monday activity actually took place on Sunday.
My husband was lying on the couch all day sick with the flu. I was starting to get really bored, so I decided that since the weather was reasonably nice (meaning that Burkley will be fine for a few minutes in just a sweater) and Burkley seems to be feeling better from his weird 48 hour bug he had (and probably passed to my hubs), I decided to take him outside for a photo shoot. He was still in his church clothes and was just looking so darn cute, I couldn't pass up the opportunity.

Now, you may be thinking, "Don't you take a zillion pics of your kid as it is?" And while my answer to that is yes, I don't normally intentionally set out to take a zillion pics. This was much more intentional. We went out with this sole purpose in mind.

And, we had fun! It was great to get some fresh air and Burkley could show of his newly pretty-much-mastered walking skills. In the last few days he has gone from walking about 50-75% of the time and still crawling the rest, to walking about 95% of the time. He still walks with his arms out Frankenstein-style, but he's doing great.

And, considering the viewfinder/screen on my camera is busted and I can hardly see what I'm trying to take pictures of, I'm really pleased with the snapshots we got!

This one really showcases his bruised face from crawling off his changing table last week. Sheesh.

  1. Great pictures! There is definitely a difference between taking regular, every day pictures and photo shoot time. We do lots of photo shoots here :) Burkley is just so cute in that sweater. Hope your husband feels better and that you don't get it next!
