So, it appears as if my little guy has a sensitivity (allergy?) to ice cream.
This is really crappy (for me).
I know several of my friends have noticed their babies have a sensitivity to dairy as it comes through breastmilk, but Burkley apparently just doesn't like ice cream.
I can eat:
cheese,
milk,
cottage cheese,
sour cream,
lattes,
yogurt,
etc.
But, I cannot eat ice cream unless I want my little guy's face to look like this the next morning:
This week I'm going to be trying cocount-milk ice cream.
Next on the list will be almond-milk ice cream and maybe some other lactose-free options.
We'll see.
Because I really cannot live without ice cream.

He looks like a high schooler with a bad breakout!

Gosh, he's cute.
Do/did your kids have any sensivities to things you ate when you were breastfeeding?

Yes, I totally relate! My daughter started with a nasty breakout on her cheeks at 6 weeks old and it got worse and worse and worse. Eventually we worked with a naturopath to determine that she was highly intolerant (not allergic) of wheat, all dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, almonds and citrus. We did a complete elimination diet for many, many months and she is now 3 years old and totally healthy. We still keep her off of dairy and eggs as those were the biggest intolerances.
ReplyDeleteI hope little Burkley doesn't develop a whole list of sensitivities like my daughter did. Yes, he is super cute!
