Cadriel ~ 9 Months

My sweet, sweet Cadriel, you are nine months old! I can't believe how quickly time flies (doesn't every adult say that?) Your sweet, happy nature brings a smile to everyone you encounter. You're always willing to just go with the flow and are happy to do anything and everything.

Silly little things make you giggle. You love to play peek-a-boo when we put a blanket on your head and you quickly take it off, laughing. You are delighted with joy at the mere prospect of scaling the stairs, stopping at each one to just laugh. You often just break into a dance out of the blue.

We took you and your brother to see The Nutcracker ballet. You slept through it. Such an easy baby, you are.

You adore Burkley and everything he does. Even if he hurts you (accidentally or purposefully) you'll cry for a bit and then when I come to your rescue you look at him and giggle.

You really like playing in the snow, as long as it's not too terribly cold out. You love being pulled in the sled around the yard or wherever we're sledding.

You're a willing participant in any of the family happenings. Here we are making Christmas cookies.

Because our bathroom is under construction, you take your baths in our kitchen sink, which makes you laugh and squeal and splash, especially when you try to suck on the faucet and come up sputtering.

Your first Christmas was great! You got one of those push-toy-popper things from your Aunt Brittney and really love it!

You also loved the wrapping paper and tissue from all the gifts.

You are rockin' at EC, and are essentially diaper-free. You go during the night a couple of times in the little bowl by the bed (in your sleep!) and then I lay you right back down and you remain zonked out. It's amazing. During the day we are pretty much past the point of having misses at home and do all your pottying/pooping in the "proper" places. When running quick errands, you usually stay dry in your undies, but when we're gone for a few hours (like for church or lots of errands in a row) I put a diaper on you. It's so fun and you're a pro.

As far as "stats" go, you have four teeth now. You got your top two the week of Christmas. You pull-up and cruise along everything. You are a speedy crawler and love the stairs. You sleep "through the night" several times a week, usually from about 7:30pm-4:00am when you nurse and then go back to sleep until around 7-7:30am. I know you are around 25lbs, but your "official" measurement won't be until your checkup which is in a few weeks. You are right around 30-31 inches long, but it's hard to measure a squirming baby.

You make this face all the time.
And seeing as how my baby book has several photos like this, apparently so did I!
We just love you so much. I'm so glad you're in our family, in our lives, spreading your joy. You make us laugh every day and we wouldn't trade you for anything! My little Juder-Duder, you're just the best!
