Traveling with an infant is certainly an interesting experience.
This week I traveled to the Chicago area to visit some of my old friends and of course the baby came along. :)
Traveling with a baby is certainly different than traveling solo or just with the hubby.
The past two days Burkley has had his meals at the Cheesecake Factory, an elementary school, a tollway Oasis, and at two of his aunts' houses. Oh, and at Trinity International University (my lovely alma-mater). :)
He had his diaper changed on many various surfaces: an office desk, a student's table, many public bathroom changing tables, and more. Glad he is so adaptable. :)
The craziest thing about traveling with this guy is that the car lulls him to sleep. So, anytime we were in the car (and darn Chicagoland, every commute takes sooo long), he fell asleep. So, his schedule was all out of whack since he took 30 minute catnaps many times a day. Not to mention the fact that every time he woke up he was in a different place and usually in a different person's arms. :) He did so great though and was in a pleasant mood pretty much the whole trip!
This kid is really just so flexible and adaptable, I love it. Makes traveling easy...although rest stops have gone from taking 5 minutes to about 25 minutes, but hey, who's counting?
I love my little booger and it was fun having some time away with him, but we both missed Daddy and are glad to be back!
lol! i love that pic of us! can you email it to me? and yes burkley was a great travel companion!
